Which role do universities play in the Graduateland Network?

The Graduateland Network includes several key partnerships with universities across Europe (and 2 in the USA). The universities become part of the network by integrating a customised career portal on their university website connected to their student intranet. These career portals, called Gateways, are the official career sites that the respective universities provide for their students and alumni as well as the companies in their region.

How can I promote my vacancies towards students and graduates?

The easiest way to start is by posting the job on the Graduateland Network. The job description will be visible to students and graduates in the whole network - regardless of which price package you choose. The different price packages you can choose determine how exposed a job will be on the network (higher exposure = more impressions on your job ad).

How can I contact candidates directly via Graduateland?

There are 2 ways that you can let candidates within the relevant target group know about the vacancy at your company:

  • Direct email campaigns: E-mails are sent to potential candidates who match your recruiting criteria, informing them about your job post and inviting them to apply.
  • Notifications: You can actively choose to notify individual candidates about a particular job opening in your company. The list of candidates you can send a notification to is available when you are logged into your recruiter profile.

How can I showcase my employer brand on Graduateland?

To promote your employer brand you can opt for an Employer Profile. The Employer Profile is a dedicated page for your company that allows you to present those aspects of your employer brand, which are relevant for students and graduates. You can include written descriptions of the career prospects you offer for young academics and company culture, pictures in various formats as well as videos. Once opened, the Employer Profile can be prolonged on an annual basis. Users can choose to follow your company on your Employer profile.

How can I monitor the performance of my job post?

You can keep track of the impressions, views, clicks and bookmarks that your job post generates by going into the job overview in the Graduateland Recruiter.

In case you decide to run a direct email campaign, your account manager will personally provide you with additional statistics on the performance of your campaign.

If you are looking for a more extensive tool to continuously monitor and improve the success of your employer brand, Graduateland Insights might be the right tool for you. Find out more about Graduateland Insights here.

What is the Graduateland Virtual Career Fair?

The Graduateland Virtual Career Fair is an online recruitment event, where company representatives can chat with students and graduates in an all digital venue. Companies set up a virtual company stalls where they can display vacant positions along with their employer branding and marketing content. Within the chat system, recruiters and company representatives answer questions from candidates, scan candidates as well as sort potential applicants.

Posting a job

Which information do I have to provide when posting a job?

When you post a job on the Graduateland Network, you will be required to provide information about:

  • The job you are recruiting for
  • Your preferred candidate profile
  • Where on the network you would like to post the job
  • Which candidate targeting features should go into your price plan
  • Your contact & payment details

You can find a detailed description of the whole job post flow here. You can also save a draft of your job ad, and come back to it to fill in the rest of the information and post it.

What needs to be included in a job description?

Each job post on Graduateland should touch on the following points: 1) Introducing the role; 2) Task description; 3) What you are offering; 4) Your requirements; 5) The practicalities of the position; 6) Details about the application process; 7) Company information

You can find a detailed description of each point here.

Why was my job post declined?

Our goal is to match the students and graduates in our network with jobs that are relevant to them and to protect them from job offers that are not serious (unfortunately, there are some of those out there as well).

When your job description is declined, it is probably because it is lacking some vital information, such as contact details, a task description, or information about what your company does.

Please also note that we do not approve job posts that have a private email address as a contact. It needs to be a business email address.
