Actually getting companies and applicants to talk to each other at a virtual fair - how’s that going to work?
You will receive the login details prior to the start of the event. Using them, you will access the main overview page. From there you can navigate to the different company booths - the overview of the companies will be in alphabetical order.
At the career fair, you will be able to find companies offering:
- Part-time positions
- Graduate programmes
- Entry-level positions
Approaching the companies at the career fair
You and the companies will be matched according to the information on your Graduateland profile and their job requirements. You will be able to approach all company booths with which you have a match. In case you don’t have a skill that the company requires on your profile, you will be asked if you want to add it to your profile. (If you choose to add a skill on the spot, you should be aware that the recruiters might ask you about it to assess your proficiency.)
Once you enter a company booth, you will be able to find information on the company and get an overview of which jobs they are offering.
When you select the chat function, you will find a list of the company representatives you can speak to. The attending employers have already noted some tips for you on how to leave a good impression with them.
All companies that you interact with will also have access to the CV you have submitted and to your Graduateland profile. After the encounter, you can use the survey function to leave feedback for the company.
That was our short intro - you can find more details in the Graduateland Virtual Career Fair FAQ.
