Objective of Position
  • Management of AMG sales incentives / special discounts for China market
  • Coordination of sales incentive payout process with Sales Incentive Central Checking Office (SICCO)
  • Management of dedicated AMG margin system and margin payout (annually)
  • Management of AMG bidding platform / process
  • Other related topics/projects in AMG sales management

Task Description
AMG Sales Incentive Development
  • Analyzing sales performance vs targets, compile market feed(from dealer management)
  • Developing incentive program policy with regards to highest possible effectiveness of dealer motivation and at the same time risk avoidable for MBCL & BBAC
  • Communicating with all involved parties, esp. S&M GM, F&C (MBCL&BBAC) and other related departments to fine tune program contents.
  • Managing top-management approval process for programs
  • Developing dealer communication package and support communication of program to dealers in cooperation with dealer management colleagues
  • Cooperating with AMG regions to calculate bonus for individual dealer payout
  • Monitoring and tracking of program efficiency
  • Suggesting proposals for improved program efficiency

Special Incentive Budget Management
  • Managing AMG special discount budget
  • Planning, forecasting and tracking of budget spending
  • Optimizing tools to support budget management to support optimal budget usage (e.g. prevent over spending or insufficient utilization)

AMG Sales Incentive Payout
  • Coordinating with SICCO, responsible for all AMG incentive program claim checking
  • Cooperating with internal and external auditors and be responsible for follow up action

AMG Margin System Management
  • Managing AMG dedicated margin system (structure, policies)
  • Managing AMG variable margin payout process (e.g. by calculating and tracking relevant KPIs)
  • Being responsible for dealer standard execution and updates (sales side)

Bidding Process / Platform Management
  • Managing entire bidding process (e.g. from preparation of vehicle list and required details, obtaining required approvals to tracking of bidding result)
  • Planning and tracking required budgets and report on deviations


Qualification Required
Skills - general skills, personality traits:
  • Good level of understanding of the automotive business, preferably Mercedes-Benz (or other brands) in China
  • High level of organization skills, ability to think logically and attention to details
  • Possess a positive, self-motivated attitude (can-do mentality)
  • Excellent oral communication skills with sound problem solving abilities (tactful and diplomatic)
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English, Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and thinking/doing “out of the box”

Functionality skills – process and technical skills:
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications, esp. Excel
  • Knowledge/experience in project management are preferable
  • Knowledge/experience in Daimler systems and processes (e.g. procurement) are preferable

Experience and education:
At least 4-5 years’ experience in auto sales and marketing operation, dealer management or preferably experience with dealer management.
Management and leadership skills:
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving thinking
  • High level of ability to work both independently and as a team player with strong sense of responsibility
  • High ability to work under time pressure
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
