HPE Global IT is looking for an experienced ETL / Business Intelligence Developer with broad experience in designing, implementing technical solutions using Informatica ETL tools and Business Objects Enterprise

How you’ll make your mark:

  • This Developer role requires the candidate to apply deep technical knowledge of Informatica Power Center tools and BI Visualization Tool/s such as PowerBI Tableau to build reporting and analytics solutions to our Financial Services business
    • Understand technical product requirements and the provided technical guidance, to produce detailed technical specification, develop and test applications to those specifications.
    • Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads on design, code reviews, address code review recommendations and resolve validation and verification issues on a timely basis.
    • Drive superior quality in technical deliverables, reduce or eliminate design or development defects and ensure a thorough unit testing and comprehensive System Integration Testing.
    • Drives tactical problem solving, demonstrates technical expertise in issue reduction and resolution. Follow guidance with minimal supervision.
    • Consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues.

About you:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Applications
    • 6 or more years of development experience in Data warehousing or Business Intelligence projects with Informatica. Additional experience or knowledge with BOE tools preferred
    • Must have strong UNIX and Linux experience, including Unix Shell scripting experience
    • Must have solid SQL Server and oracle database skills
    • Strong development experience in writing PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, packages and debugging the code
    • Should be able to tune the slow running jobs or SQLs
    • Collaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that meet changing business needs
    • Work with data owners to document data mappings and transformations to support effective downstream analytics and alerts
    • Make recommendations and advise on data refresh, optimization of data, data storage, and data integration
    • Attend various meetings as Subject Matter Expert for ETL
    • Occasionally play multiple roles (individual contributor, lead, teacher, mentor)
    • Adheres to coding quality standards
    • Should be able to look at the existing complex mappings to accommodate additional changes or debug the production issues
