This role will require you to deliver recurring strategic data insight and analysis from the exploitation of our event/performance/ sales/marketing databases. The analysis will focus on and not limited to analyzing and reporting sales data like Pipeline and its metrics (Pipeline size, shape, etc). In addition, this role will require data management skills to maintain huge data for business units/ accounts. Hence, you will require substantial database experience, working with large-scale datasets, as well as strong analytical and numerical skills. You must be fully conversant in the MS Business Intelligence suite and proficient with manipulating and managing large quantities of data.
This is a hands-on analysis position with one objective - to support the Business units/sales team to drive market share growth in HPE's top accounts. This person will provide recurring analysis of business-critical metrics like pipeline, create tools, drive automation and drive the information and results into actionable outcomes. Also responsible for developing and delivering Data Analytics training and professional development and execution to maximize overall productivity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Based on appropriate analysis of data, provide value-added business performance analytics and optimization recommendations that enable continuous improvement across the organization to drive incremental sales growth or improve sales productivity.
  • Retrieves data required for populating Business/Marketing information as required
  • Facilitates the data sourcing in the most effective manner such as retrieving, creating queries, and formatting
  • Use BI and database tools to access and mine databases and perform other inferential analysis
  • Ensures reports are generated in a timely manner and ensures data integrity prior to distribution
  • Generates reports using a high degree of creativity in establishing useful formulas to assist with analytic interpretation
  • Works closely with department analysts and leadership team in order to research, analyze and supply the appropriate data to the requester; recommends required fields of data to include in reports
  • Provide thought leadership in customer targeting strategy, innovate new ideas to identify better targets and provide information on their characteristics using internally available data
  • Research and evaluate opportunity to apply common methods and frameworks across analytic projects to allow for reuse of modeling and more efficient solutions to Sales needs.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure that strategic programs are executed accurately, effectively and within budget.

Education and Experience Required:

  • BE/BTech/MCA/MBA.
  • Required Technical Expertise on one or more of the following streams
    • Experience in Systems Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation of reporting and analytic applications
    • Expert on MSBI (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), SQL Server, and SQL (T-SQL)
    • Technical knowledge on visualization tools like Business Power BI, QlikSense, or Business Objects (BO)
    • Exposure to Hive, Rapidminer, Scala, Python.
    • Experience in ERP tools such as SAP, SFDC and enterprise data platforms;
    • Knowledge and understanding of Statistics is a plus.
  • Awareness of project management tools and techniques
  • Experience of working in team environments
  • 7+ years of experience in the data analytics / Services industry in reporting or strategic analysis of sales data
