As part of the IP Routing & Transport Customer Engineering organisation, the purpose of this role is to be assigned to delivery programmes as part of the programme senior leadership structure in the capacity as a NPI & Network Design Engineer.
In conjunction with the Consultant team, TPM team, Design team, the Resident Engineer will be responsible and accountable for:
  • Resident Engineers reside in clusters to provide technical delivery capability while ensuring best practices applied in customer networks to minimize risks and hot issues
  • Works onsite with customer personnel as customer staff augmentation and provides support and assistance at the direction of customer
  • Support post-sales related activities such as integration, acceptance, software upgrades and NOC support with the coordination of Central Integration
  • The support should be right first time and meets contracted compliance levels
  • Identify issues and options to resolve with backoffice support team
  • Ensure hardware, software and firmware versions are identified for solution,
  • Identify Technical skill gaps of other organization involved in the project, and perform workshop and on job training if required
  • Help the customer team to have hand on and knowledge transfer of day to day activity


  • B. Sc. Degree in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines,
  • Good understanding of Internet family of protocols particularly routing protocols such as OSPF and ISIS, RSVP-TE, LDP, IPv4, IPv6, BNG, WiFi,
  • Strong experience in IP Network Design & Architecture domain is must
  • Good knowledge of UNIX or Linux is preferable,
  • Good knowledge of scripting is preferable,
  • Good understanding of router configurations in an IP network environment is preferable
  • Preferred Certifications include: SRA, CCIE, NRSII, CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/ JNCIS is a plus
  • Good knowledge of MBH (3G, 4G) and SDH, WDM technologies
  • Excellent communication skills verbal & written and documentation
  • Regular reporting to the cluster leader in efficient way
  • Ability to learn effectively and quickly
  • Ability to participate/organize customer meeting/workshop
  • Team player, and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to travel (both domestic and abroad)
  • Languages: Fluent English
