Summary:

As Marketing Coordinator reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the marketing strategy at Vacation Palm Springs. This is a great opportunity if you are an up-and-coming marketing star with a passion for learning. Business responsibility is to recruit and maintain owners units on rental program, while maximizing guest revenue in these units for business and owner success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution and coordination of all marketing initiatives, working closely with Leadership team to increase brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition, ultimately drive revenue.
  • Coordinate marketing projects and communication between departments.
  • Coordinate scheduling of advertising and promotions to project completion.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphic designers; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Ensure timely completion of special projects.
  • E-mail Marketing - Assist with weekly email marketing strategies.
  • Revenue Generation - Attend bi-weekly revenue management meetings and implement marketing strategies discussed.
  • Writing Experience - When necessary create compelling content for marketing materials, e.g. web-content, newsletters, articles, property descriptions, etc.
  • Social Media – Champion Vacation Palm Springs Social Media Accounts - Create relevant, engaging social media content for all social media websites. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google + and Linked In.
  • Copywriting - for projects including, but not limited to, web, e-media, brochures, flyers, direct mail, ads, newsletters, trade show graphics and social media campaigns.
  • Photography - Maintain house photo files, assist with special projects regarding house marketing photos
  • Graphic Design – (Program Knowledge)
  • Stay on top of the latest industry trends and provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate jobs through completion.
  • Attend meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsSkills/Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or at least 2 years of work experience in similar position.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude that desires to learn and grow.
  • Efficient copywriting and content development.
  • Experience creating and editing marketing materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fast, accurate, attention to detail.
  • Strong web/computer skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively present marketing ideas to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic Graphic Design Skills using Adobe Creative Suites
