Java Developer
Key Role:
Apply software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies to design, develop, implement, and deploy systems. Work in a development role to develop and test features using Java. Work with team members in an Agile development environment under the supervision of a technical lead. Work closely with clients and key stakeholders to comprehend and implement system requirements and features. Participate in software design and implementation efforts, facilitate and contribute to code reviews. Develop automated data integration test procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Java development
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases, including Oracle
  • 2+ years of experience with unit testing and implementing systems using Spring or Hibernate
  • Experience with building and testing Web services, including REST or SOAP
  • Experience with open source frameworks, including Spring, JUNIT
  • Experience with version control tools, including Git or Subversion
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, including GovCloud
  • Experience with law enforcement systems
  • Experience with microservices and APIs
  • Experience with SQL and PLSQL
  • Knowledge of ETL principles and design
  • Experience with JSON
  • Experience with DevOps approaches and tools, including Jenkins
  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or KanBan
  • Experience with debugging existing code and identifying resolutions
  • Ability to encode programs, prepare test data, and test and debug programs
  • Ability to provide System Lifecycle Management (SLM) documentation
  • Active Top Secret or DHS Suitability clearance
