The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager provides strategic direction, operational management for the business intelligence activities and Reporting teams day to day activities. The BI Manager explores creatively and leverages data to enable key insight into business opportunities through historical data and will effectively present these insights to business stakeholders. The Manger is also heavily involved with the distribution and successful delivery of all BI reports and the overall consumption of data and analytics.
Manages a team of analysts or developers who facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures development and implementation. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with key stakeholders and business leadership, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements
  • Partners with business teams to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports
  • Designs, develops, and maintains reports, dashboards, and analytical tools
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports
  • Provides technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
  • Identifies and analyzes errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions
  • Translates data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts to convey information to management
  • Creates written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations
  • Creates ad hoc reports and views on a frequent basis to assist management in understanding, researching and analyzing issues
  • Teaches and advocates the use of business intelligence tools across levels of the organization

  • Minimum three years of experience in project management
  • Over five years of experience in business analytics
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a business environment
  • Demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; MBA preferred
  • ITIL v3 certified
  • ServiceNow PA & Power BI experience
