Data Scientist for R&D Division at KMD

Expires in 7 days

Do you want to help make the world a better place using AI? Do you prefer to talk about the meaning of life, more than talking about the weather, when we have lunch? Do you want to do state of the art DS with a high degree of freedom through open source technologies like pytorch, tensorflow, Linux, docker and K8s? Then come work with us!

As our new Data Scientist, you will work in a true data company that handles the data of almost all Danish citizens and governmental institutions, in a secure and ethically correct environment. Here, you will get the chance to contribute to the creation of measurable societal value through applied data science. We offer you a chance to join a great workplace with a culture of opportunities and a license to do things differently.

KMD is looking for an expert in data science. You will be working in the field of data and process mining for evidence-based predictive and prescriptive decision support systems.

You will be involved in defining and solving different AI projects in collaboration with our customers - primarily the public sector in Denmark. You will also be part of large research projects together with partners and universities.

Saving the world, one line of code at the time

You will be part of our new Center for Applied AI (CAAI) in the Research & Development division in KMD, the largest IT company in Denmark. KMD has for decades had a significant impact on the Danish citizens and society and we continue this journey in the field of AI. Now, as part of NEC, the journey also includes more than 25 years of research in AI and machine learning.

You will get an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dedicated and agile team creating measurable societal and business value with AIaaS, using leading edge technology. The team is working on an AI platform based on GitObs; single source of truth and infrastructure as code.

We have the benefit of working in a large organization with the opportunity to work on many intra-company interfaces and large-scale complex systems with a huge customer base and a huge amount of data.

Who are you?

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent qualifications. You should have practical experience with end to end data science projects, including implementation of machine learning models.

You have programming skills, preferable in Python, and use a range of coding practices to build scalable AI products that can be used by strategic or operational users and can be further integrated into business solutions via REST-APIs. We call it AIaaS.

We expect that you have several of the following skills:

  • Deep understanding of statistical theory, causality and experimental designs
  • Ability - and motivation- to drive DS projects
  • Experience with advanced machine learning models
  • Interpreting and delivering results
  • Collaborate with team and stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with cutting-edge data science technologies and algorithms
  • Understanding practice and familiar with a wide range of methods within data science
  • Experience with cloud computing and end-to-end pipelines
  • High degree of personal motivation and ability to self-manage
