Purpose of Position:
To process air export consolidations with high accuracy by using proprietary forwarding applications, ensuring operational excellence and high productivity.
Key Tasks:
Provide accurate, timely and friendly customer service to offices and/or agents via telephone, fax, e-mail, as required
Review documentation for accuracy and export/destination compliance
Ensure proper completion of all accounting procedures and data entry
Process shipments by:
o checking piece count of all HAWBs against MAWB piece count
o setting up files according to destination and cut-off requirements
o booking shipments with airlines/gateways, securing confirmed bookings
o compiling information for preparation of any reports as required
Prepare documentation by:
o Processing the MAWB and Manifest
o Printing shipping documents and invoices (if applicable)
o Sending pre-alert and uplift information to destination
Assure that file contains all necessary document copies in correct sequence
Report all pertinent information to department management on shipment/vendor problems
Coordinate “In Bond” shipments with Import Department along with clearing T.I.B.’s before export
Skills and Requirements:

  • Basic freight forwarding knowledge of air export
  • Excellent application skills and competence
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of Panalpina products
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Detail oriented
  • Team player
