COWI has decided to expand our activities with the European Commission and EIB and expand our Brussels office base. In fulfilling this aspiration, we are looking for several consultants to join our office in Brussels. COWI Economics & Management delivers services to the European Commission in a range of areas such as environment, transport, energy, climate, employment and regional policy. In delivering this, we build on our solid experience in applying EC's Better Regulation Guidelines and Toolbox and our capacity for combining quantitative tools and qualitative methods. We further benefit from our strong ability to mobilise multi-disciplinary in-house teams thus benefitting from COWI's strong competence base. Our working environment is at times hectic and characterised by a strong team spirit and a joint dedication. The expanded team in Brussels will work closely with colleagues in Denmark to successfully deliver analyses, policy support and technical assistance to EC and EIB as COWI has done for many years.
In our department, you will benefit from COWI's multi-disciplinary competences in a variety of areas such as transportation, energy, climate and environment vested with about 7,300 COWI professionals across the globe.
As Consultant, you will become part of a competent and dedicated team of experienced consultants and specialists of many nationalities. You will work on projects and proposals in the EU market area.


You have a Master's degree within, for example, economics, law, public administration or political science.
You have more than 3 years' professional experience, with at least 2 years' experience in working on EU projects in a consultancy or as staff in an EU institution. Experience in policy processes following the Better Regulation Guidelines and especially in relation to impact assessments and/or evaluations is an asset and so is experience in working with related methodologies and tools such as CBAs, intervention logics and survey methods.
Experience in relation to consultation procedures and data collection across the EU28 in connection with EU projects is an asset.
Experience in at least one of the following sectors is an asset: Climate, energy, transport, employment/labour market, regional policy.
Fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement. Fluency or working knowledge in other European languages is an asset. We expect high proficiency in working with the Microsoft Office Suite.
