This position is responsible for promoting Prysmian’s energy/power products and
Prysmian’s image through interface with our customers and sales force as well as
having a thorough understanding of Prysmian’s technical capabilities and
commercial objectives in order to increase market share and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Product Support
a) Low Voltage Cables
b) Medium Voltage Cables
c) Medium Voltage Accessories
2) Technical Support for Prysmian Inside/Outside Sales, Representatives and
a) Provide Technical Data for Quotations and Bid Proposals
b) Give Commercial Savvy Engineering Presentations
c) Field Support and Product Demonstrations
d) Provide innovative technical solutions to customer problems. This includes
offering cost effective designs which will benefit the end user’s system as well
as Prysmian’s manufacturing facilities
3) Commercial Product Support
a) Create Technical and Commercial Literature to Support and Promote
b) Create, Maintain and Update Catalogs and Data
c) Maintain and Update Engineering Guide
d) Create Instruction Manuals
e) Develop customer specifications with a focus on both the best interest of the
customer and Prysmian.
4) Training
a) Participate in, and Give Customer Presentations
b) Regional and Local Seminars
c) Train Customers and Prysmian Sales Force
d) Create Training Videos and Documents
5) Customer Specification Review
a) Review and Improve Customer Provided Specifications
6) Customer Liaison
a) Coordination of Quality Issues
b) Coordination of Plant Non-Conformance
7) Aid in Customer Product Efficiencies
a) Product Analysis
b) Product Consolidation
c) Application Based Cost Reductions
8) Provide engineering calculations in support of, or for the purpose of promoting,
Prysmian’s energy/power products.
a) Loss Calculations and Financial Evaluations
b) Ampacity and Impedance Calculations
c) Pulling Tension Calculations
d) Capacitance, and Charging Current Calculations
9) Industry Conference Participation
b) Maintain familiarity with industry standards and specifications
c) Ensure applicable Prysmian departments are aware changes in industry
standards and specifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to converse with multiple levels of employment (from linemen to upper

  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to give technical presentations and engage the customer
  • Sales-Like Personality combined with Engineering Technical Skills


Preferred minimum 2-3 years working in an engineering discipline
Commercial experience involving direct interface with clients and sales personnel
Three-phase power systems and/or electrical utility experience desirable
