Our team is looking for an excellent Ph.D. machine-learning summer intern that will join our researchers and security professionals to apply their research skills to demonstrate security value on a large-scale for the purpose of securing Azure.
We believe that by combining the best research capabilities with Microsoft’s rich datasets we can achieve truly game changing results that will have a huge impact on the field.
During your summer internship, you will join our research group that is responsible for providing our customers in Azure as well as in the hybrid cloud with the state-of-the-art threat detection and prevention capabilities.

The main goal of the internship will be to build a large-scale proof-of-value prototype of advanced threat protection utilizing cloud-security related data and publish a paper in the leading relevant academic venues.


  • Excellence Student for PHD degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of machine-learning and big data analytics.
  • Experience and knowledge in cyber security - Advantage.
  • Experience working with network data, event data, or other large datasets - Advantage.
  • Azure, AWS or other cloud environments experience – Advantage.
