About the department

BAMEAC (Business Area Middle East, Africa and CIS) is a regional hub of Novo Nordisk, consisting of 75 countries and 12 affiliates dedicated to Changing Diabetes, Changing Obesity, Changing Possibilities in Haemophilia and to make a difference in the other diseases we help treat. The business area office is in Istanbul and we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join us.
You will be reporting to the Finance & Operations Director, BAMEAC and be a member of the BAMEAC Finance & Operations Team.
The Supply Chain unit is a part of the BAMEAC Finance & Operations Department and serves as a centre of excellence with the affiliates. This position has 2 direct reports and functional reporting from 4 affiliate supply chain managers as part of the BAMEAC Supply Chain Centre of Excellence (CoE).

The position

As Supply Chain Manager, you are responsible for establishing and driving the supply chain strategy and network in the Business Area (BA)
You will lead and further develop the BAMEAC Supply Chain CoE to drive demand planning excellence across the BA
You will also drive continuous improvements of the value chain including inventory management and distributor management
You will support in defining and developing further the SEEMEA Supply Chain Strategy and responsible for driving and executing it in BAMEAC
You will champion projects initiated and rolled out from Product Supply (PS), International Operations Strategic Operations (IOSO), and Region South-East Europe Middle East and Africa (SEEMEA), to which BAMEAC is a part of
You are the key contact and responsibility holder at BA level for planning, execution and communication with SEEMEA and PS in supply chain related matters
You will develop relevant BA specific supply chain initiatives by looking at current setup and anchor them in the markets of the BA
You will represent supply chain among others, in cross-functional forums, BA launch coordination group and BA Finance & Operations meetings.

Qualifications

You hold a university degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ working experience within supply chain management, performance tracking and project management or similar.
You are experienced in operational planning, demand and supply planning.
You have strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
You can take initiative, are result-oriented, able to work independently and fluent in both written and spoken English.
Experience working in cross-cultural teams and cross-organisation stakeholder management is preferred.
You are an expert in Microsoft Office and SAP BW.
People management experience is an added advantage.
