Business Analyst - Fixed Term Contract until February 2022

Please note this role is a fixed term contract and we will not be able to consider day rate contractors.
Whilst this role can be performed remotely you will be expected to travel to our Yorkshire site regularly.

What will you be doing?

We have a vast and diverse portfolio of projects from major to minor change and we are looking for you to come and collate, shape and manage requirements from our stakeholders. Developing robust proposals that provide solutions to meet our requirements and following these through to successful implementation will form the most critical part of your role.
Being focused on compliance and governance whilst maintaining a low risk appetite is essential to performing successfully, not only in your role but to the whole business. You will ensure that the development of solution proposals and option papers are fully approved to allow the decisions that are made regarding projects, are to be effective in-line with our strategic objectives. The same approach also stands when you are looking at development for approval for any estimates for implementation.
As you know, most of what we do has client impact and therefore it is imperative that any changes in our Business Process Framework as a result of minor or major change is fully documented, and accurate. This is so that as a business, we understand and know how we are obliged to service our clients and its customers.

What are we looking for?

You will be an experienced Business Analyst, able to demonstrate the core BA skills, methods and techniques. It is desirable that you have previously worked in a similar role within a financial services organisation.
Our organisation is ever changing and no two days are the same, therefore we are looking for you to be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, get to grips with complex projects/data and add value by seeing the ‘bigger picture’ and driving continuous improvement, not just in what you do, but what we do.
Building and maintaining strong relationships will come naturally to you, and you should be able to evidence your ability to operate at all levels across the organisation with clients, and 3rd parties.
Equally, you will have strong negotiation and influencing skills and won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo when needed.
What else do you need to be successful in this role?
  • Ability to plan and facilitate workshops
  • Working knowledge of Agile
  • Experience of end to end business change projects
  • Used to managing conflicting demands and able to prioritise workload
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Collaborative in your approach
  • A related professional qualification would be an advantage

What are we doing during the pandemic?

We’re currently performing all interviews, assessments and background checks online to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Most of our employees are working remotely. For people who need to be in the office we’re following government guidelines on safe working. This includes regular cleaning, maintaining safe distances and limiting the number of people in the office at any one time.
Should you be successful in securing a role and it can be performed from home, we will arrange for equipment to be sent to you and your onboarding and training will be provided remotely.
