Job Description

Individual Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for executing technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders; developing analysis to support process and project improvements
  • Researches and analyzes improvement opportunities, conducts analysis, prepares recommendations and facilitates efficiency enhancements
  • Develops business requirement documents and specifications
  • Works as directed by management team to research and document business issues involving workflow procedures and processes
  • Analyzes data and work with management to develop creative solutions
  • Proactively identifies issues with workflows and processes; suggests improvements to management
  • Reviews suggested workplans
  • Coordinates ongoing service, maintenance post-implementation
  • Manages teams
  • Has positive impact to specific organizational entities & has some understanding of the nature of the impact
  • Usually a top contributor to team's success

  • Demonstrates understanding of how technology supports Manulife's strategy

Project-specific requirements requested:

  • Agile execution experience
  • 10 or more years of Life/Health insurance BA experience preferred:
  • Strong life/health domain expertise
  • Gathering and documenting requirements in JIRA/other online tools for agile
  • Drawing process flows( Visio / Lucidchart)
  • Impact assessment
  • Basic tech understanding including integration mapping, Maintain Data dictionary / UI field mapping
  • Experience in Life/health claim processing steps from Submission, FNOL, Data entry, Auto adjudication, Manual assessment, Payment approval and Settlement aspects.
  • In particular - Strong adjudication rules experience for health insurance claim adjudication AND / OR strong BPM experience for claim processing
  • Designations like ALMI / FLMI preferred
