When interning with Creative Business Network (CBN) you become part of a global network of startups, investors, and industry experts from the cultural and creative industries (CCI). We organize various local and international events and activities to connect our stakeholders and we need your help with planning and executing, in particular related to connecting the right investors with the right startups.

We are scaling-up our Creative Business Investors (CBI) activities, focused on helping the network’s top-tier CCI startups in their pre-seed and seed funding and investors search. We are therefore looking for a full-time intern to coordinate the CBI agenda and serve as its single point of contact.

More specifically you will:

  • Coordinate the overall agenda and work plan as defined by the CBI team, following-up on pending tasks and deliverables with the respective stakeholders
  • Provide insight and leadership in the CBI marketing and communication plan, including but not limited to: reaching out to prospective startups, investors and partners; defining and executing the most optimum marketing and communication strategy, whether through social media, events (both online or physical), or more generally via phone and emailing campaigns
  • Conduct and document relevant research
  • Achieve meeting/engagement targets set by the CBI team
  • Generally, explain the value of Creative Business Network’s services to potential and current partners
  • Furthermore, depending on needs and time availability, provide support for CBN’s Foreign Mentor Weekend program

Who are we looking for? You are the right candidate if you:

  • Are in your bachelor final year or beginning of your masters within e.g. Economics, Business Administration or similar, with special focus on innovation and/or private equity and venture capital
  • Have a process-driven work manner
  • Have organizational skills, initiative and good communication skills
  • Work well in teams as well as independently
  • Are organized, have great analytical skills and are not afraid to make own decisions
  • Are interested in sales development, inbound marketing, and initiating outbound contacting and appointment booking
  • Like working in dynamic environments and are able to juggle with a range of tasks simultaneously
  • Are experienced user of MS Office; any VC/PE, startup, accelerator/incubator tool is a bonus

Who are we? Creative Business Network is a foundation whose mission is to support startups from the cultural and creative sectors internationally. We help them connect with investors and expose them to new business partners and global markets. We strengthen their innovative capabilities to the benefit of the concerned businesses and to the society at large. Our main activities are the international conference BRIGHT and Creative Business Cup, the global competition for creative startups, where startups from more that 80 countries every year compete locally and at the Creative Business Cup Global Finals in Copenhagen to become no. 1 creative startup of the year.

 

Practical information

Internship period is year-round, for at least 6 consecutive months.

The position is fulltime, unpaid, and 37 hours per week. Any pre-approved travel will be covered by CBN.

We are a global network with a global team and we mainly work online from where convenient. Our office is located in Copenhagen, however for this position, ideally we would prefer fully remote candidates (hybrid may be considered for the right candidate).
