Pipeline-to-Pathways is an 18-month development and career accelerator program that acts as a gateway to the Pathways Operations Leadership Development Program. It is designed to rapidly equip MBA/MSc/MEng/PhD graduates with 1 to 3 years of professional experience with the skills they need to join the Pathways Leadership Program. Starting as a front-line leader as a Pathways Area Manager, you will gain the experience and skills needed to move into the Pathways Operations Manager position, ultimately scaling up to become an Amazon General Manager or Directors in the future.

Key job responsibilities
As a Pathways Area Manager based in our Fulfilment/ Sort/Delivery network, you will:
* Manage and coach a team of approximately 100 associates
* Be responsible for the training and integration of your team
*Exercise sound judgement, ensuring progress and KPI targets are worked towards and met
*Prioritize the continued motivation, engagement and performance of each associate
* Promote and safeguard Amazon's Health and Safety standards
* Uphold the highest standards of process quality
* Maintain inventory accuracy
* Strive to improve and streamline processes
* Become a subject matter expert on larger Fulfilment Centre activities
*Lead cross-functional teams to solve operational problems
*Actively share and promote best practices with your colleagues and network

About the Role:
As a Pathways Area Manager, you will develop leadership skills and gain a deep knowledge of the business through a series of progressively challenging operational assignments across Amazon's growing supply chain network. To succeed in this program, you will be expected to leverage your strong analytical, communication, and thinking-big skills.

Pathways Area Managers are also expected to be mobile and scale with the growth of the business, lead and develop large teams, solve problems with creative solutions, and deliver results on behalf of our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* You are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from, an MBA /MSc/MEng/PhD between 2020 and 2024 and are available to work full time in 2023
* You are fluent at B2 Level or higher in both English and German
* You currently have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience (excluding internships)
* You have strong oral and written communication skills
* You are flexible to work in non-traditional shift patterns, which may include nights and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous experience in setting, monitoring and improving KPIs or similar metrics
* Previous experience working with Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau
* Strong decision-making skills, enabling you to use sound reasoning as and when required
* Previous experience in an operational, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or transportation environment or similar
* Successful track record in supporting internal or external customers
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen techniques and methodologies
