VANS EMEA is looking for an exceptional Junior Product Developer (1 year maternity cover) to join our EMEA Regional Product Creation Team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let's Talk about the Role

As Junior Product Developer you will develop the products intended for the EMEA Market, individually managing your categories (apparel & accessories). You will be responsible for taking product from design concept to salesman samples (SMS) and into bulk production working closely with merchandising, design, regional sourcing teams and vendors ensuring all seasonal objectives are successfully met.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

  • Leading development from design to SMS to production of assigned categories (apparel & accessories)
  • Labdip/ strike-off/ SMS/ Pre-production samples review and approvals
  • Data entry for all the managed styles and as needed
  • Strong collaboration with vendors and sourcing partners, launching collection and daily follow-ups
  • Reviewing and analyzing costing, meeting price target
  • Ensuring the products are meeting the required quality standards working closely with vendors and regional sourcing colleagues
  • Ensuring all key product development deadlines are upheld

Skills for Success

You should be a curious and driven individual, detail focused and with a desire to learn.

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-2 years in product development, design or similar
  • Experience developing lifestyle garment ranges as a product specialist in at least one product category
  • Well-organized, the ability to prioritize workload and deliver accurate work in a timely manner are fundamental
  • Knowledge of basic garment construction, mainly knits
  • Proficient in Illustrator, Excel, Power Point. Enovia PLM would be a nice-have
  • Possess effective communication skills and thrives on working within team-based environment.
  • Highly organized, precise and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Full working proficiency of both written and spoken English.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master's degree in Fashion Design/ Product Development/ Fashion Product Management are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
