RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are looking for a Project Assistant who is eager to learn, grow and make a real impact within the Project Management function at Storm Ideas. You will work closely with our project management team to gain hands-on experience from the ground up, whilst developing the required skills to work towards ultimately taking ownership of projects and deliver the best solutions on time to our amazing clients!

 

What can you expect?

A hit the ground running experience into the world of project management. You’ll get to grips with the basics, whilst providing invaluable help to the wider PM team. Over time your logical progression would be towards a Junior PM role 🚀 day to day tasks would be varied but we’ve included an outline below

 

  • Helping breakdown projects into actions and tasks
  • Estimating the time it would take to achieve those tasks, with the help of our PM’s
  • Assigning those actions and tasks to the most appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Assisting our PM’s in ensuring tasks and actions are delivered on time
  • Help identify project issues/risks/conflicts
  • Identifying and requesting dependencies from clients
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse to ensure we’re aware early on of potential overruns
  • Keeping on top of general project status
  • Communicating between stakeholders internally and ultimately with clients directly
  • Ensuring that project documentation and processes are up-to-date and accurate

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree
  • Excellent school grades
  • Proactive attitude; you’re always first on the scene grabbing hold of things
  • A self-starter who has a strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • A detail-oriented individual who ensures that all work is completed with accuracy, precision, and thoroughness
  • The ability to identify, analyse and solve problems efficiently and effectively
  • A real interest in technology and recent advancements
  • Openness to learning new things and the ability to learn quickly
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

What’s nice to have:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using online project management software such as Jira and/or Airtable
  • Experience communicating directly with customers
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, SDKs & APIs

SALARY

 

£25k per year, depending on experience and skills.

 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

 

Permanent / Full time. Either in our Edinburgh office or remote within the UK.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

 

Firstly - a meeting with Susan, our Lead Project Manager. During the meeting, Susan gets to know you a bit better and tries to understand if you’d be a good fit for the role, and at the same time answers all your questions.

 

Secondly – if your interview goes well, you will be sent a follow-up exercise (for which you will be compensated) that aims to test your project management and problem solving skills. You will present your exercise on a second call with Susan and Andy, our Chief Delivery Officer.
