JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Non-Exempt Payroll Manager you will be part of a team that is responsible for accurate and timely delivery of payroll for our non-exempt associates on a bi-weekly basis. You must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize work, special projects and have technical understanding of the payroll system set-up in order to lead projects and deliver results on assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to lead /oversee projects related to system enhancements, customized reporting requirements
  • Partner with HR on technical system issues/ projects
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Implements, maintains and reviews eTime system to ensure accurate processing of associates hours
  • Documents process changes and updates procedural documentation
  • Manage & develop payroll specialist (s), provide support to team
  • Supervisory responsibilities include performance reviews, mid-year and annually, training and development
  • Responsible for ensuring SOX controls
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Back-up for Sr. Payroll Manager

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
  • Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll administration with increased responsibilities and people management
  • Payroll Certification, CPP

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience with ADP eTime system
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced experience with month-end close, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
  • Ability to problem solve, make judgment calls based on existing practices and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with an emphasis on the ability to prepare and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets through V lookups and pivot tables
  • This position has a wide diversity of work situations, and requires good organization and analytical skills, working quickly while maintaining accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good grammar and spelling in written communication
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with high level of accuracy

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with accounting month-end, journal entries, account reconciliations
  • Multi-State Payroll
  • Experience with SAP, Workday or similar accounting and HRIS systems
  • Experience with PayForce, eTime
