You’ll spend two years rotating through roles in one of our divisions, working on live projects, seeing the product lifecycle from end-to-end and gaining experience of working in another country. - Precision Engineering
Progressing through placements in Engineering, Commercial, Operations and Project Management, you’ll discover how we create flow control technologies for applications where precision, speed and reliability are essential. Precision Engineering helps drive the essential systems we all rely on and Norgren, our customer-facing brand, is central to making that happen. During your placement, you could potentially find solutions to all kinds of engineering challenges – everything from reducing emissions in commercial vehicles to supporting advances in diagnostic equipment and biotech. There will also be opportunities for you to work on a world-class product portfolio that includes high-quality actuators, pressure switches, valves, fittings and more.
- Critical Engineering
IMI Critical Engineering is a world-leading provider of critical flow solutions that enable vital and energy process industries to operate safely, cleanly, reliably and more efficiently. Ideal if you’re looking for complex challenges – everything you produce here will have to withstand temperature and pressure extremes as well as intensely abrasive or corrosive cyclical operations, whether it’s controls, silencers, chargers, safety valves or isolation and actuation products. You will also get opportunities to work with major clients in sectors such as oil and gas, nuclear power, and iron and steel. Your placements will cover Project Engineering, Application Engineering, New Product Development and Project Management.
- Hydronic Engineering
Innovation is part of everyday life for our Hydronic Engineering teams as they engineer high-performing, quality products that optimise the efficiency of heating and cooling systems. You’ll rotate through placements in Operations, Project Management, Commercial and Engineering, gaining wide exposure to the division’s work – potentially everything from creating perfect indoor climates to minimising energy consumption in the world’s tallest buildings. Products you could be working on include automatic flow control devices, pressure maintenance systems and thermostatic controls.
What you need
Our programmes are highly international in nature. So as well as having the right to work in the country you’re applying for, it’s important that you are willing and able to relocate frequently, including to other countries. You must also have a bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or emerging technology discipline (or another discipline related to your programme if you’re applying for a non-engineering role).
