Self Service Portal: Create a self-service portal for ordering Virtual Machines at Novo Nordisk

Topic Description

We host and manage several hundred virtual machines for users across Novo Nordisk. To speed up the process we want to implement a self-service portal allowing users to spin up new virtual machines in a matter of minutes – across several different virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, OpenStack, AWS/Azure)

  • UX-design and coding of the Frontend.

  • Documenting all created virtual machines with relevant information in a database.

Other parts that can be included:

  • AD authentication or Single-Sign On capabilities.

  • Integration with CMDB (automatically registration of new VM’s in ServiceNow).

  • Coding of backend (provisioning and deploying the VM’s using tools as TerraForm, Puppet and Ansible).

  • Decommission function.

  • Web frontend/backend development

  • Timing: Q3 / Q4 2023, or Q1 2024

Conditions

  • You’re either a bachelor or master student within IT, engineering or similar.

  • You’re expected to sign a confidentiality agreement, if applicable.
