Position Overview

Join the Cloud Security and Compliance team at Autodesk as a Privacy Engineer and gain valuable insight and experience with protecting high scale cloud services. As a Privacy Engineer, you can be a part of the talented team that designs, builds and deploys solutions that protect Autodesk and its customers against advanced adversaries. You will implement latest regulatory and compliance requirements such as SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR into cutting edge cloud products. You will work across many teams including sales, compliance, infrastructure, legal, engineering, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement better privacy practices throughout the company, reducing the amount of future tech debt by building privacy into our products, services, and tools from the beginning
  • Identify weaknesses in technical and human workflows; develop and deploy best practices and propagate them across the company
  • Develop critical frameworks that control access to production systems, encrypt sensitive data and create audit trails
  • Contribute to build and launch tools that continuously and automatically identify vulnerabilities and undesirable practices
  • Help with improving visibility for incident response and forensics
  • Maintain close relationships with other engineering teams that work with user data, consulting on privacy issues throughout the software development life-cycle
  • Identify weaknesses in technical and human workflows; develop and deploy best practices and propagate them across the company
  • Perform privacy impact assessments for complex systems
  • Participate privacy analysis for internal and external audit projects
  • Develop value added recommendations to deal with data privacy related issues
  • Monitor implementation of data privacy recommendations and validate their implementation
  • Request and review and evaluate vendors privacy posture to insure alignment with Cloud Security internal controls and provide assessments and recommendations
  • Evangelize and present on best practices in data security across the organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications such as: Certified Information Privacy Technologist ( CIPT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), CIPP/US/E are a plus
  • Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, excellent debugging, troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of web infrastructure and distributed systems
  • Knowledge or exposure to the following compliance frameworks AT101 Type2 SoC1 and SoC2 (SSAE16), ISO2700x, FedRamp, COPPA, ITIL, NIST, GDPR is a big plus
  • Knowledge base related to controlling and securing system platforms (including Unix and Windows), database platforms, endpoint platforms, and network infrastructures is preferred
  • Understanding of Cloud industry technologies and IaaS, PaaS, SaaS platforms preferred. Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of changing technologies implemented is essential
  • Experience with AWS environment is big plus
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
  • Posses the tenacity to pursue difficult and sensitive issues to acceptable conclusion
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and issue resolution skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, ingenuity and the ability to work as part of a team
