Management Trainee — California Business Center Newport Beach, CA FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is looking for a talented self-starting individual with an innate curiosity and passion for the automobile industry to join the Management Trainee Program. The Management Trainee Program prepares you to become an Area Sales Manager at FIAT Chrysler Automobiles. This position is based in the California Business Center located in Newport Beach, California. An Area Sales Manager is a consultant to Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, FIAT and Alfa Romeo dealerships taking a holistic balanced operations approach to success. You will serve as a liaison between the dealers and FCA to assist in all areas of retail development including marketing, forecasting, inventory planning, customer satisfaction and training. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing sales, performance, revenue and achieving established targets in the assigned district. A training curriculum preparing you for these roles involves both practical and experiential learning through rotational job assignments as listed in the program structure overview.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE OVERVIEW-The Management Trainee Training Curriculum consists of a minimum 12 month rotation cycle at the California Business Center, Newport Beach California. You’ll go through 5 rotations as a part of the training program.
Marketing Rotation– Interact with the Marketing Team as they plan and budget for the Tier II Marketing and Incentive Strategy.
Sales Rotation– Work with the Business Center Sales Staff as they work to execute the Marketing Plan. You will also travel with experienced Area Sales Managers as they consult with dealers to gain firsthand experience as they work with their stores.
Dealer Network Rotation– Our Dealer Network Team is responsible for establishing new dealers, Buying and Selling of our Franchise Dealerships as well as working with underperforming dealers. In this rotation you will learn about assessing a market’s performance, Dealer Financial Statements, and Customer Experience.
Service and Parts Rotation– The back bone of dealerships is its fixed operations business. In this rotation you will learn about a dealership’s service and parts functions including Customer Satisfaction, Warranty, Wholesale Parts, and Service Marketing- During the Service and Parts Rotation you will also travel with experienced Area Sales Managers as they consult with dealers to gain firsthand experience as they work with their stores.
In-Dealer Rotation– Work with in a dealership to see how it operates, and see the sales and service process first hand.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willing to relocate for promotional opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past sales experience, specifically in an automotive environment
  • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excel in building positive working relationships, cost assessment and conflict resolution
  • Entrepreneurial individual with a history of leadership and achievement
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision
