The Capacity and Constraint Analyst’s primary focus is ensuring proper supplier/program capacity is in place in advance of program changes resulting from demand driven changes (sales and marketing) and/or product plan changes. The Capacity and Constraint Analyst works in partnership with production planning and other FCA SCM groups to ensure the program is buildable.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working with the supply base and FCA commodity purchasing to remove barriers that are constraining or will constrain the SCP program
  • Evaluating feasibility and supplier capacity to implement mix change proposals
  • Monitor and manage program constraints in the order slotting and sequencing system (OSS)
  • Synchronizing with the production planning and centralized scheduling in the weekly slotting and sequencing process
  • Maintaining capacity cards for assigned program(s)
  • Defining all program constraints and plant restrictions
  • Handling critical/constrained component management
  • Setting up weekly meetings for short term supply issues and maintaining agenda
  • Establishing banking programs as required
  • Reviewing green requisition requests and issue green requisitions (as justified)
  • Resolving nearer term volume variances
  • Conducting supplier conference calls
  • Reviewing and responding to engineering program bulletins providing program and engineering management the forecasted impact to SCM, cost and timing
  • Creating / documenting processes, learning documents, job aids for capacity planning operational core competencies
  • Releasing analyses
  • Releasing compares (diamond reports)
  • Developing and managing of strategic material buffers for programs
  • Understanding calendar, plant operating patterns and capacities/restrictions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related degree before or in December 2020
  • Strong interest in automotive industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skill
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database applications)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship / supply chain experience
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
