We are seeking internship candidates to join our engineering teams at our location in Syracuse, New York. Selected students will get exposure to:
Hands-on experience in multiple engineering applications to include Compression, Chemical Engineering, Innovation & Research, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded Software/Firmware Programs, Refrigeration Systems, Heat Transfer, and Acoustics and Indoor Air Quality.

Education:The ideal candidate will be a sophomore or junior pursing a Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0-3 years of similar co-op/intern or work experience, or a graduate student pursuing a Masters’ or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience / Qualifications:This position will involve engineering application in the following technology competency area:
The Heat Transfer Group applies a combination of advanced modeling, analysis, and experimental techniques to characterize thermal performance of advanced heat transfer surfaces. The preferred candidate for the Heat Transfer Internship will have a firm grasp of thermal-fluid science fundamentals, a basic understanding of heat exchanger design principles, solid computer and analytical skills, and familiarity with standard laboratory practices and experimental methods. Entry level competency with engineering development tools such as MATLAB, EES, FEA, CFD or Pro-E is highly desirable.
- 3.0 GPA minimum
- Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals
- Interest in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
- Ability to work independently on assigned task
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop under guidance of experienced engineers
- Previous Engineering internships preferred
