Job Overview
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, workstation assignments, change control, and line balancing. The candidate will be trained to utilize lean concepts to identify/eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies. This position will assist and learn from the Industrial Engineering Manager with technical services to maintain efficient levels of lean manufacturing and manning. The Industrial Engineer will support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) pillars as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Must be a team player and self-motivated
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime and some travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Engineering Internship or Co-Op experience preferred
  • Experience implementing World Class Manufacturing in a union environment
  • Experience in automotive industry
  • Knowledge of time study/standards, ratings, MODAPTS, ergonomic evaluations, budgets
  • Aluminum Die Casting and Trim operations experience
  • Indirect labor experience
