What's the role?We’re looking for customer-focused Key Project Engineer to be based near and cover the Birmingham - Midlands area to kick start their careers in a rewarding, high-performing, international company.
As a Key Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and coverage to both consulting engineers and contractors, to secure specifications and provide a valuable engineering service on one of the largest projects in Great Britain.

What does the role involve?As a Key Project Engineer, you’ll be working with our customers, sales teams, contractors and designers to drive the sales of specific products.
You’ll pro-actively develop business opportunities from key projects around the North West area. This would be achieved through the development and conversion of specifications developed by consultants and contractors associated with this project.
You will also provide valuable engineering service support and leadership to the Hilti sales force by providing technical support and training to internal and external customers – both onsite and in the office. You will also support the quality control and risk avoidance function of the Hilti technical team in a professional manner.

Our Head Office is currently based next to Old Trafford but in early 2021 we will move to state of the art new premises at Circle Square in Central Manchester. We will continue to offer free parking for employees and will be located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop.

What you need is:
- A graduate degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant experience in the construction industry (onsite or in design office)
- Strong communication skills
- Passion to learn and drive to succeed

Once you're in the formal process, there are three stages – a first interview with an Engineering Manager, a day-in-the-life 'field ride' to give you a real feel for the job and a final interview with a Engineering Director. We'll also pay your expenses if you have to travel to meet us.
