Research Scientist I, Flow CytometryLocation: Fremont
The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments and reagents. Their flow cytometry products are used by scientists across the globe in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO and clinical markets. Due to company growth, they are looking for a Research Scientist to join their team in Fremont.
The Role:Carry out flow cytometry experiments using biological samples.
Follow SOPs and protocols to carry out reagent, assay panel, and instrument testing.
Perform data analysis and summarize data for review.
Design experiment to troubleshoot if necessary.
Giving presentations in group meetings.
Assist in fluorescent conjugated Ab testing and record keeping.
Assist in study protocol and SOP development and writing.
Assist in lab management.
The Requirements:Educated with a BS or MS; Cell Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences; or a related field.
Knowledge and experience with flow cytometry.
Experience using flow cytometry for immunology research, immune cell phenotyping and other cell-based assays is a plus.
Hands-on experience in general lab techniques such as handling human blood samples, cell culture, operating common lab equipment, etc. is advantageous.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate in a team setting.
